On April 19th, Knight-Hennessy Scholars will host a conversation with Dr. Deqo Mohamed, a trailblazing Somali OBGYN and social entrepreneur. Dr. Mohamed has been working to transform healthcare services in the Horn of Africa since she was a teenager, when she began helping her mother—Nobel Peace Prize nominee Dr. Hawa Abdi—to run a hospital and camp for displaced Somalis during the civil war. Come hear Dr. Mohamed speak about her incredible life’s work and her dreams for the future.
